No. 33 Badgers Knock Off Rams

The No. 33 Wisconsin Badgers had no problem with Colorado State as they defeated the Rams 7-0 at the Miramont Sport Complex in Fort Collins Saturday night.

The Badgers took all three doubles points from CSU before sweeping the home team in singles play and knocking the Rams? record back to 2-2.

Freshman Anne Andersen was the only Colorado State player to force a third set before falling 1-6, 7-5, 1-0 (4) to Lindsay Martin at No. 3 singles. No. 1 Dasha Zhurin fell to Katie McGaffigan 6-2, 6-1 and Emily Kirchem lost to nationally-ranked Caitlin Burke 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2. CSU?s Jessica Jones, Alex Paganetti and Jasmin Singh all fell in straight sets as well.

Colorado State falls to 2-2 on the season and will compete against CSU-Pueblo and Colorado-Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs Sunday.
