Fort Collins ? Flexible season plans, a new family discount offer and several other first-time unique admissions packages highlight Colorado State University?s football ticket program announced today by Director of Athletics Mark Driscoll.

Colorado State is in the midst of the most extensive ticket sales campaign in school history, focusing on the Northern Colorado and the Denver markets through a specific national trademarked sports/entertainment media program that will have a mix of newspaper, radio, cable television and outdoor ad product. There will also be extensive customer outreach via, direct mail, email to local, state and regional alumni and ticket holders, and personal phone contact by expert ticket placement personnel who know Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium from every possible angle.

Driscoll said the primary focus is for Ram fans to ?buy and save? for the Rams? five home games in 2005 at the newly revamped and improved facility in the shadow of the imposing Rocky Mountain foothills.

A prime savings example is a season ticket in the donor seating area of the stadium that will cost $160, a savings of $20 from the face value of the five home games.

Two miniplans are being offered in 2005. Fans can purchase a ticket to three selected home games for $85, a $15 savings. This is designed to offer great flexibility in planning leisure time activities in a region with so much to do.

Another new facet of the ticket program is a ?family discount? for seats in the north end zone of the stadium. A fan can purchase four or more season tickets (a minimum of two adult tickets) in the north end zone for adults and children at a discounted rate. Adult season tickets in the north end zone for the family package cost $125, a savings of $20, and $65 for children (ages 3-18), a savings of $10.

Driscoll also said CSU will offer ?Youth Dollar Day? for the Rams? final home game of 2005, Nov. 12 against San Diego State. Youths under the age of 18 can buy a ticket for $1 when accompanying an adult with a full-priced ticket. He suggested a fast purchase of these seats because they are projected to sell quickly.

Colorado State is also implementing ?team rates? for local high school, junior high, and youth league football teams for home games in 2005.

The department will also offer a restructured group ticket rate for businesses and other groups. Meeting planners, human resource directors and other group leaders in the greater Fort Collins area can expect to be contacted for special group outing arrangements.

The Rams will play five home games in newly improved Sonny Lubick Field at Hughes Stadium in 2005. By the time the home opener ? Sept. 24 against the University of Nevada ? arrives, Driscoll expects fans to be pleasantly surprised by the new amenities and physical upgrades at the the 37 year-old facility.

This season?s work concludes an 18-month reconstruction program. A year ago, two new scoreboards and a video replay board were installed, as well as more than 4,000 permanent seats in the north end zone. In the coming months, a renovated press box, expanded Rams Horn ?top cabin? club seating area, and 12 new luxury suites will be finished.
