No. 39 UNLV Tennis Puts Away Rams

The only win for the Rams came from freshman Anne Andersen at the No. 3 position who defeated UNLV?s Sharon Marin 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (8). Senior Alex Paganetti also played to a tiebreaker, but lost in the end 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (4) at No. 6.
In doubles play, juniors Jessica Jones and Carla Pallares won the only doubles set defeating Linda Tempelfelde and Anne Clair Ortiz-Luis 9-8 (6). Jasmin Singh and Alex Paganetti played UNLV?s nationally ranked pair of Gyorgyi Zsiros and Claire Smith, but lost 8-2 at No.3. This is the first time Singh and Paganetti have face a ranked doubles opponent this season.
Colorado State faces San Diego State tomorrow after Wyoming and UNLV play in a match starting at 9:00 a.m. MT at the Miramont Sport Center. San Diego State is ranked No. 40 in the country. CSU is winless against ranked opponents this season and is 0-9 against SDSU in the all- time series.
