Rams Surge into Fourth, Benton Seventh

OAHU, Hawai'i - The Colorado State women's golf team jumped up four places after having the lowest second round of the field and sit in fourth place Wednesday after 36 holes at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Club in Oahu, Hawai'i.
The Ram's second-round score of 300 was the lowest of the 13-team field and helped the team move into a three-way tie for fourth place, 17 strokes behind the leader. The team recorded a 318 in the first round of play. Tied with the Rams are
Junior Chelsea Benton sits tied for seventh place after firing rounds of 73 and 76, good for a two-round total of 150.
