FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State’s women’s tennis coach Jon Messick announced the addition of Celine Voss on Tuesday afternoon.

“I think she is going to bring some extra depth to the team right away,” Messick said. “How quickly she’ll to be ready to go will be hard to say but once she is ready to go and gets a lot of practices under her belt, she’ll help the team right away.”

Voss, a native of Arnsberg, Germany, graduated from Franz-Stock-Gymnasium in 2013. In Germany schools do not have organized tennis, so Voss spent five years playing for TuS Bruchhausen 02.

“I’m pretty excited because we don’t have this in Germany in college or high school,” Voss said. “I think it’s pretty cool to study, practice and actually play tennis at the same school.”

Voss attended Fort Collins High School in 2010-11 as a foreign exchange student, and held the No.1 singles spot on the Lambkins tennis team.

In her lone season at Fort Collins, Voss compiled a 9-1 record with all nine victories coming in straight sets before eventually losing in the second round of the 5A state championships.
