Scouting Colorado
Colorado comes into Moby Arena for an in-state rivalry game vs. CSU with a 3-2 record and a 0-1 mark on the road. The Buffs have wins over Loyola Marymount, Northern Colorado and Massachusetts, and losses to a pair of SEC teams in Kentucky and Florida. CU is averaging 73.4 points per game and giving up 70.8 points per game.
Key Buffaloes
The Buffs have four different players averaging double figures in scoring with one other girl averaging 9.8 points. CU is led by senior forward Jamee Swan, who paces the team with 14.4 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per game. Swan is also extremely dangerous getting to the free throw line, getting to the charity stripe 5.6 times per game and connecting on 85.7 percent of her attempts. CU also gets key contributions from Kennedy Leonard, a dangerous freshman guard who is averaging 12.4 points per game and 6.0 assists per game.
Series Vs. Colorado
Colorado leads the all-time series over Colorado State, 35-11. In Fort Collins, the Rams are 9-12 all-time against the Buffs. CSU's last win over CU came in a 69-61 game at Moby Arena on Dec. 11, 2009. Since then, CU has won five straight.
A Win Over Colorado Will...
• Move CSU to 6-1 on the year, marking the best start for the team since 2001-02. and give CSU its first win away from home.
• Give Head Coach Ryun Williams his 65th career win at Colorado State.
• Improve CSU to 4-0 at home on the year.
• Give CSU its first win over CU since Dec. 11, 2009.
• Run CSU's regular season home winning streak to 19 games.
Green Out
CSU's game vs. CU will be a 'Green Out.' Fans are encouraged to wear green to the game to cheer on the Rams. Additionally, the first 500 students in attendance will receive a free shirt.
