Match Preview: Rams Open September with Trio of Matches in Florida

THE WEEK
• The Rams hit the road for the first time this season and travel to Tallahassee for three matches at the Home2Suite Invite hosted by Florida State.
• Colorado State will face TCU, UNC Asheville and No. 15 Florida State on Friday - Saturday.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Following the trip to the Sunshine State, the Rams will return to Moby Arena for an eight match home stead, which will also be part of the Mountain West opener.
• Colorado State will first host a pair of tournaments over the next weekends, where the Rams will welcome Ball State, power-house Michigan, Idaho State, Albany, Xavier and in-state rival Colorado.

• CSU will open loop play on Sept. 21 and 23 hosting New Mexico and UNLV, respectfully.


RAMS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• The Rams enter the weekend 2-1 after picking up a sweep against Northern Colorado on Monday night.
• With the sweep, the Rams pushed their winning streak against the Bears to 17 straight and Head Coach Tom Hilbert remains nearly perfect against other DI Colorado programs at 46-1.
• Redshirt sophomore middle blocker Kirstie Hillyer leads the team in a majority of categories, including kills (3.67 k/s), hitting % (.425) and blocks (1.50 blk/s). She also leads the conference in blocks and is third in hitting percentage.
• Sophomore setting Katie Oleksak paces the Rams' offense with a 11.67 assist average and also leads the MW.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• The TCU Horned Frogs enter the weekend with a 3-0 record after recording three-straight sweeps in the Cowtown Classic last weekend.
• UNC Asheville carries a 1-2 mark after playing three matches that resulted in a sweep against or in favor for the Bulldogs at the Benson Tournament in Athens, GA last week.
• The Seminoles enter the tournament with a 3-0 record while boasting a No. 15 ranking in the AVCA Poll.
