BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Colorado State women's golf team moved three spots up the leaderboard and sits in sixth place after two rounds of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown. The Rams carded a 3-under 285 during the Monday round, led by Ellen Secor who recorded a 3-under 69. Katrina Prendergast leads the Rams for the week with a 4-under 140 after posting a 2-under 70 in the Monday round.

Oregon State continues to lead the field of 17 with an 18-under 558 after posting a 10-under 278 during the second round. Ellie Slama from Oregon State leads the pack with a 9-under 135 after finishing the day with a 4-under 68.

Prendergast started the day on the ninth hole and was 1-under after 10 holes, including birdies on 15 and 16. On the front course, she sank two additional birdies to finish the day at two-under. So far, the senior has carded 11 birdies at the Showdown. Ellen Secor finished the day with a 3-under 69 after she began the day on the back nine. The junior was a solid 1-under at the turn after posting a birdie and an eagle before moving to the front nine and making a pair of birdies with no bogeys to finish the day at three-under and improve to a tie for 23rd.
