Naming rights to suite level of stadium continues long-standing partnership between CSU and UCHealth

FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Officials from UCHealth and Colorado State University Athletics jointly announced today an expansion of the long-standing partnership between the two to name the suite level at Canvas Stadium on the CSU campus the UCHealth Suite Level.

The UCHealth Suite Level, located on the fifth floor of the west tower of Canvas Stadium, contains 23 suites, all of which have been leased by companies and organizations partnering with CSU Athletics, plus the A.D.'s and University President's suites.

"Colorado State's partnership with UCHealth is something we are very appreciative of and proud to both celebrate and cultivate as we look to the future," said Joe Parker, Director of Athletics. "We are very excited to announce the next iteration in this partnership that names the suite level, a key element of Canvas Stadium, acknowledging our ongoing commitment to the multifaceted relationship between CSU and UCHealth."

"It's exciting to be a part of CSU's athletics programs and the new stadium," said Kevin Unger, a CSU graduate and president and CEO of UCHealth's Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins and Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, Colo. "This is just the tip of the iceberg of the incredible relationship we've had with CSU. I am so proud of the work we've collaborated on. From UCHealth's support of the athletics programs and partnership behind the new health and medical center to our researchers working side-by-side on clinical trials and students getting real-world experience working in our hospitals, together, we are improving people's lives and how we deliver health care."

"There's nothing like a passion for sports, and teaming up with CSU in this way makes sense," said Manny Rodriguez, chief marketing and experience officer for UCHealth. "Through our partnership with CSU's athletics programs, we have an opportunity to provide education and awareness of the importance of health care."

The suite level is among the attractive premium spaces that enhance fans' game-day enjoyment of Canvas Stadium, while also serving as unique spaces for hosting events and meetings throughout the year, beyond game days. Those premium spaces and unique features of Canvas Stadium not only serve fans and the community, but also demonstrate the strength of partnerships in the local community and regionally that form the fabric of Colorado State's integration with the greater Fort Collins community.

Fans will see permanent signage on the outside of the suite-level façade, visible from the stadium bowl. Branding also will be installed in the fifth level elevator bank and throughout the suite-level lobby, hallway and lounge.

Canvas Stadium opened in the summer of 2017, bringing Rams football games back to campus for the first time in 50 years and providing a multitude of new engagement opportunities for the entire university. The stadium's design embraces Colorado's natural beauty, topography and visual connections to the Rocky Mountains from campus and ensures functionality for both game-day and non-game day usage.

The 727,000-square-foot facility proved immensely popular and attractive to fans in its inaugural season of 2017. The Rams set an all-time attendance record with a total of 192,369 fans and a per-game average of 32,062, representing a 16-percent attendance increase from 2016—eighth-highest all of college football. Season ticket sales also reached an all-time high of 15,477, a 40-percent increase from the 2016 total of 11,054.
