THE WEEK
• Colorado State will begin the second half of its Mountain West Conference schedule, hosting San Diego State and Fresno State this week.
• The Rams will face the Aztecs on Thursday night at 7 p.m., before looking for revenge against the Bulldogs Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. The match against Fresno State will also be a Pink Out.
• Both matches will be broadcast the MW Network.
 
OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• San Diego State begins the week with a 7-16 overall record and 5-5 in the Mountain West. The Aztecs are 6-2 since playing the Rams on Sept. 27.
• SDSU went on a five-match winning streak after the loss to CSU, which included defeating Wyoming.
• The Rams hold a 42-16 all-time record against the Aztecs, with their last loss coming in 2013 in Fort Collins.
• Fresno State begins the week with a 16-6 overall record and leads the MW with a 8-1 record and will face Wyoming on Thursday night before playing CSU on Saturday.
• The Bulldogs' lone conference loss was at Boise State.
• Hailey Watson leads the league in blocks with 1.58, while Reagan Leonard paces the conference in digs with 4.85.
• The Rams hold a 14-10 record against Fresno State with the loss earlier this season snapped a nine match streak.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
• The Rams will split matches next week as they have a quick turnaround again, hosting Wyoming on Tuesday, Oct. 30 before heading to Air Force on Thursday, Nov. 1.
 
RAMS AT A GLANCE
• Colorado State will start its second half of its Mountain West Conference action carrying a 16-6 overall record and 8-2 league mark to sit in second in the league standings.
• The Rams recorded two road victories last week at New Mexico and UNLV. The sweep against the Lobos was fifth for CSU in Mountain West Conference matches.
• The win at UNLV snapped the Rebels' nine-match home winning streak, dating back to their home opener.
• Kirstie Hillyer was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week after her performances last week.
• Paulina Hougaard-Jensen leads the MW with a .395 hitting mark, while sitting fourth in blocks with a 1.37 average.
• The Rams rank 20th in the nation in blocks per set (2.69) as Paulina Hougaard-Jensen (31) and Kirstie Hillyer (55) rank in the top-100 in the country.
• Breana Runnels ranks No. 39 in the nation in kills per set with a 4.10 average. She has reached double-figure kills in nearly every match except for three.
• Katie Oleksak continues to lead the Mountain West in assists per set (11.37) and ranks 14th in the country.
