Rams combine for 14-1 mark across singles, doubles on Saturday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Colorado State tennis team wrapped up play at the New Mexico Halloween Classic on Sunday, concluding the Rams' fall season.
CSU's weekend in Albuquerque, N.M., was highlighted by a strong Saturday, where the team went a combined 14-1 across singles and doubles action.
The Rams excelled on Saturday against representatives from New Mexico, New Mexico State and Illinois State.
The doubles duo of Emily Luetschwager and Priscilla Palermo went 3-0 on the weekend, beating two doubles duos from New Mexico and one from Iowa State.
A pair of Rams racked up three singles wins over the weekend – Emma Corwin and Emily Kolbow. Each player went 3-1, and each won three straight after losing their initial singles matches on Friday.
"We had solid tourney overall," CSU head coach Jarod Camerota said after the team's final event of the fall season. "We improved this fall but we need to keep getting better from now through January and then January to April."
