CSU heads to Madison, Wis., for the two matches on Saturday and Sunday

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State tennis team will travel to the Nielson Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin for two matches against Illinois-Chicago Saturday, Jan. 26 and Wisconsin Sunday, Jan. 27. Both matches are slated for 11 a.m. CT/10 a.m. MT starts. Live streaming for Sunday's match is available at https://uwbadgers.com/sports/2016/11/1/tennis-video-streams.aspx?id=1239.

The Rams will have their first dual match of the spring season against the UIC Flames on Saturday. CSU has met UIC three times previously, the most recent time in 2006 where Colorado State won 7-0. UIC dropped a 7-0 decision to Northwestern in its season opener last weekend and will play Wisconsin tonight.

On Sunday, CSU will take on the Badgers in the fourth ever meeting between the programs. Wisconsin has taken the previous three duals, including the 2017 matchup, 6-1. In last year's match at the Nielson Tennis Complex, CSU's Emma Corwin and Emily Kolbow defeated Wisconsin's Christina Zordani and Michelle Linden in No. 3 doubles, 6-2.

Sophomores Emma Corwin and Emily Luetschwager, senior Emily Kolbow and CSU Head Coach Jarod Camerota are from Wisconsin, so the Rams look to have solid fan support this weekend.

"We are looking forward to playing our first matches of the year and three of our players are from Wisconsin, and one is from Chicago (Priscilla Palermo), so we're going to have good fans," Camerota said. "It will be a bit like a homecoming. We look forward to having a lot of fans out."

The Rams are coming off a successful fall, with six singles players and five doubles combinations recording winning records in tournament play. Combined, CSU went 57-25 in singles action and 25-10 in doubles play in five fall events.

UP NEXT
The Rams will have two weeks until their next match when they travel to Phoenix, Ariz., to take on Grand Canyon on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. MT
