HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The Colorado State women's golf team finished the first round of the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate with four players in the top five, including freshman Saga Traustadottir tied for the lead. The Rams finished with a two-under to lead the field of 16 by five shots – Kansas follows CSU with a three-over 291.
Traustadottir started on the back course, making the turn at two-over before inking four birdies on the front course to finish with a two-under 70. Katrina Prendergast, Haley Greb and Ellen Secor all finished at even par and combined for 10 birdies, in addition to Greb sinking an eagle on nine to finish the day and Prendergast tallying four-consecutive birds on the back course.
