HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – After sitting in first after the opening round of the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate, the Rams built on their lead extending it to nine shots after being led by junior Ellen Secor in the second round. Secor carded a two-under 70 on the day to move up tied for first. Saga Traustadottir follows in third place after finishing with a one-over 73.
All five Rams started off the first tee box and Ellen Secor wasted no time as she made the turn at three-under after sinking four birdies on the front course. On the back, the junior hit a bump on 12, recording a double bogey, but finished the round with another birdie and making even par the rest of the way.
Jessica Sloot and Katrina Prendergast both finished the day at even par, as they each carded four birdies apiece.
