- Matthews enters the week just 56 rushing yards shy of reaching the top 10 in program history. Matthews has 2,466 career rushing yards (10th-place Alvin Lewis has 2,522).
- Watson now has 336 career tackles, which has him tied for ninth in program history with Kevin McLain (1974-75). Watson ranked 15th in the FBS and third in the MW with 11.0 tackles per game this season.
