CSU will look to rebound at UCSD tomorrow
SAN DIEGO – The Colorado State tennis team was swept by San Diego, 7-0, at the Hogan Tennis Center on Wednesday afternoon.
The loss was only CSU's second since Feb. 3. The Rams are now 8-5 this spring.
San Diego took the doubles point by winning all three matches, although courts No. 1 and 2 were tightly-contested.
"That's a very good team," CSU head coach said of San Diego. "We had a shot in doubles, then they were really good in singles. We have to be more patient in our rallies and step in the court to take away our opponents' time."
The Toreros were dominant in singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Sophomore Emma Corwin and freshman Emily Luetschwager each had lengthy singles unbeaten streaks snapped today.
The Rams will be back at it tomorrow with a match at UCSD, the 14th-ranked team in the ITA D-II rankings.
"I'm confident we will learn from today and bounce back tomorrow," Camerota concluded.
