CSU to face opponents from six different programs over three-day event
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State tennis team is headed to Boulder, Colo., for the three-day Colorado Invitational beginning tomorrow.
CSU will join a tournament field that includes players from Northern Colorado, San Diego, Sacramento State, Wisconsin, Abilene Christian and the hosts, Colorado.
This is CSU's second weekend of action to begin the 2018-19 season. The Rams were split across two tournaments last week, with four players competing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic and three others participation at the Wyoming Invite.
The weekend in Boulder will give the Rams another opportunity to work on their craft before dual-match play starts up in the spring.
"We are going to keep working on the things we need to work on and try to be better than we were last week," CSU head coach Jarod Camerota said. "If we are the same team in April as we are now, then that's not good. Our goal is to continue to get better each and every week."
Following the Colorado Invitational, CSU will host its fall tournament – the third-annual Jon Messick Invitational. The two-day event is free to attend and runs Oct. 5-6 at the CSU Tennis Complex.
