Langs, formerly a volunteer assistant with the program, brings over 25 years of tennis experience to CSU
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State head women's tennis coach Jarod Camerota has announced the addition of Scott Langs as the program's assistant coach.
Langs has served the program since 2013 as a volunteer assistant. He has been a prominent figure in the tennis community in northern Colorado since 1997, helping direct and build various tennis programs in addition to coaching and teaching the sport at all levels.
"It's great to have Scott on board with our program," Camerota said. "He's someone I know very well and someone who has worked with the program as a volunteer for seven years. He's been with the program longer than I have. He was my top choice and I am looking forward to having him and he should really help the program."
Langs has been the Director of Tennis at the Fort Collins Country Club since 1997. The Rams occasionally play indoors at the facility. He was also a tennis professional at the Miramont Sports Center from 2002-2014.
He was also an assistant coach with both the men's and women's tennis programs at Northern Colorado from 2005-08.
Langs has international tennis playing experience at the professional level and was a three-time conference champion at Ohio.
CSU opens its 2018-19 season Sept. 20-23 by splitting the squad across tournaments in Milwaukee, Wis., and Laramie, Wyo.
