RENO, Nev. – An early second-half run by No. 7 Nevada put the game out of reach as the hosts defeated Colorado State at No. 7 Nevada, 100-60, Wednesday night. With the loss, the Rams fell to 7-12 and 2-4 in Mountain West action, while the Wolf Pack improved to 19-1 and a league-best 6-1 mark.

However, the Rams hung around, cutting it to 33-32 late in the opening period, and went into the halftime intermission down, 42-35.
The hosts opened the second half strong, putting together a 17-3 run over the first five minutes to make it a 21-point difference at 59-38. The margin grew to as many as 44 in the final 20 minutes as the Wolf Pack pulled away.
Nevada shot a stellar 56.1 percent (37-66) from the floor for the game, including 48.1 percent (13-27) from the three-point arc. CSU was just 39.2 percent (20-51) in the game, struggling in the second half in hitting just 7-of-25 field goal attempts.
