FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women's basketball team will play its last game of the calendar year Saturday at 6 p.m. CT against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane at the Reynolds Center.

The Rams look to go into the 10-day break for the holidays with a positive record as they currently sit at 6-6 overall. After a six-game road slate of all losses, the Golden Hurricane (3-8) aim to enjoy their friendly confines.

Coach's Corner
Head Coach Ryun Williams
On the extra time off recently and ahead…
"We've certainly have had some time to regroup. We had a conditioning session Monday and a huge shooting workout. Tuesday, we focused on team improvement, and working on the Rams as opposed to an opponent. It has been nice, and it was what this group needed. We were just in need of practice time as we have played so many games in this pre-conference schedule. Thirteen games before Christmas is a lot. Coaches love this amount of time off so we can really get into practice and tweak things. When we come back from holiday break, we'll do the same thing and use a few days just to focus on us."

Off The Tip
• Last time out, the Rams returned to the win column defeating Mississippi Valley State at home 65-46. In her second game back from injury, graduate Myanne Hamm exploded for 17 points - one off her career-mark - with a career-tying five 3s. Redshirt-senior Andrea Brady notched her second double-double of the season and seventh all-time with a 11 point-12 rebound performance. For the 10th time this season, CSU held its opponent to under 10 points in a quarter and MVSU's 4-point third quarter was the fourth time it has been under five points.

Homecoming for Two Rams
Makenzie Ellis, of Booker T. Washington HS in Tulsa, helped the No. 6-ranked Lady Hornets win the 2013 Class 6A State Title at Oral Roberts' Mabee Center across town as the long sophomore in the lineup. She clinched the win with free throws. She first played in the Reynolds Center as a fifth grader during halftime of a game. As a transfer from SMU, she also played Tulsa in the American Athletic Conference.
Jamie Bonnarens reigns from Cache, Okla. and Cache HS, which is southwest of Oklahoma City. She went to nearby Cameron University (NCAA DII) for two years, before transferring to Colorado State.

Close Losses Hurting
• Five of Colorado State's six losses have been 10 points or less with one concluding in overtime.
• At the final media timeout (4th; 5:00), CSU trailed by 3 at Idaho, trailed NIU by 6 before tying it at end of regulation, trailed Colorado by 1 before briefly taking the lead at 3:00, trailed SDSU by 7, and trailed BSU by 2 before sinking game-tying free throws after the TO and led with 1:51 to play.

Ball control continues to thrive for the Rams
• CSU has had less turnovers than its opponent in all but two games (UIW, BSU), ranking first in the Mountain West in turnovers per game (11.0), which checks in fifth nationally. The turnover margin (+5.45) is third in the MW and 38th in the NCAA. In all but two games (SDSU, BSU), the Rams have scored more points off of the turnovers than its counterpart.

The All-Important 3-ball
• CSU is fourth in the Mountain West in 3-point field goal percentage (.333) and in 3-point field goals made (97), however have allowed the most in the conference (90) for a clip (.324) that ranks seventh in the MW. The Rams are 5-0 when shooting a better rate from 3.
• Colorado State set a Thompson-Boling Arena record of 44 three-point field goals attempted. Within the conference, the Rams' 263 attempted 3s rank third, but also 10th nation-wide. Aside from the 18.2 percent that the Rams shot at UT, CSU has been successful with six games over 30 percent, including three over 40 percent and one over 50 percent.

Brady Cleaning the Glass
• Redshirt-senior forward Andrea Brady has pulled in a team-high 95 rebounds, which ranks third in the Mountain West and 45th in the NCAA. Average-wise that pans out to 7.9 a game for fourth in the conference. She has two double-digit board games with a high of 14 and has had at least six in every game except against Tennessee when she had an outlier of four boards.

Scouting Tulsa Golden Hurricane
• Tulsa (3-8) has been on the road each of its past six games and it hasn't fared well, so the Golden Hurricane are hoping to break their skid at home in their first game back since Nov. 25th. Most recently, TU lost to Stetson, 66-60, last Sunday.  In the 12-team American Athletic Conference, Tulsa was pinned to finish 10th after finishing seventh last season.
• Last time out, Tulsa and Stetson had 18 lead changes and 12 ties before the Golden Hurricane fell for their sixth-straight loss. Leading TU was Kendrian Elliot with her fifth double-double of the season, which ranks 15th in the nation. Her 100 rebounds put her at 23rd in the NCAA as of 12/15.
• Alexis Gaulden has knocked down 152 three-pointers in her career, which is at No. 5 in school history.
• TU's wins are over Arkansas State, Oral Roberts and Loyola Marymount - all at home.

Colorado State and Tulsa Series
• Overall: 4-3, CSU lead | In Fort Collins: 2-1 | In Tulsa: 2-1 | Neutral Sites: 0-1
• Current Streak: TU, 1 | Last Meeting: TU 58, CSU 43 (12/8/12) at TU
• Largest Margin of Victory: 33; 87-54 (1/7/99) at CSU
