FORT COLLINS, COLO. – The Colorado State women's soccer team will be back in action against the Denver Pioneers Friday at 4 p.m. MT in an Orange Out game at CSU Soccer Field. The Rams will be in orange uniforms and the fans are encouraged to come out in orange as well for the Orange Out.
 
CSU Quick Hits:
  • The Rams and Pioneers have played each other each of the past five seasons with the first-ever meeting occurring in 2015 – a Ram win in The Colorado Cup. Last season, the two played to a 1-all tie with CSU's goal coming off a deflection of a Pioneer. The Rams hold the edge in the all-time series at 2-1-1.
  • Last time out, Colorado State defeated Grand Canyon in double overtime when senior captain Caeley Lordemann scored her fourth goal of the season, which is a tied for the tops in the Mountain West.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Gabi McDonald currently leads the Mountain West in total saves with 29, averaging 5.8 a game.
  • This marks the first Mountain West vs. Summit League game of the season. In the history between the two conferences, the MW has the advantage 29-5-8.

  • In the third game of the season, the Pioneers defeated No. 24 Texas, 3-0 at home. All three of Denver's wins have been on its home field.
  •  DU is receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll for the first time since 2014 preseason poll.
  • In the head-to-head stats, DU has the advantage over CSU in corners per game (6.33), goals against average (0.32) and save percentage (87.5). The Rams check the boxes in scoring offense, shot accuracy, record, assists per game, saves per game, fouls per game, shots on goal per game, shots per game, and penalty kicks.
  • Head coach Jeff Hooker has been at the helm for 28 seasons and this season the roster consists of 13 upper classmen and 15 freshmen.
