THE WEEK
• No. 17 Colorado State will begin Mountain West action this week with two matches.
• The Rams will start the weekend on Thursday hosting New Mexico at 7 p.m., MT.
• CSU will finish the weekend on Saturday, traveling to Sin City to face UNLV at 3 p.m., MT.

LAST WEEK
• Colorado State finished its non-conference schedule last week with three wins, including two sweeps.
• The Rams swept both Cal Poly and Northern Colorado, before beating Oregon State - its sixth win against a Power 5 school.
• CSU finished its non-conference schedule, 10-1, including eight via sweeps and winning the last nine matches.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Following the weekend of league play, the Rams will have a quick turnaround, heading to Laramie, Wyo., for the first edition of the Border War against Wyoming
• CSU will play the Cowgirls on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., MT at the UniWyo Sports Complex.
• Colorado State will finish the week at Air Force on Saturday at 1 p.m., MT.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• New Mexico (5-7) finished its non-conference schedule last week at the North Texas Challenge, posting a 2-1 mark.
• The Lobos, who are under new direction with Jon Newman-Gonchar, recorded a pair of non-conference wins over Power 5 schools, (Rutgers, Kansas State).
• UNLV (4-7) had a tough non-conference schedule, playing four Power 5 schools, coming away with a pair of victories, (North Carolina, Kansas).
• The Rebels will play at Wyoming Thursday before hosting the Rams on Saturday.

RAMS AT A GLANCE
• Colorado State moved five spots in the AVCA Poll to No. 17 after finishing its non-conference schedule 10-1, including winning the last nine matches.
• CSU recorded a perfect 3-0 record last week defeating Northern Colorado, Cal Poly and Oregon State.
• The Rams swept Colorado in the first meeting in Moby Arena before a five-set thriller in Boulder Sept. 13 to take home the inaugural Golden Spike.
• Breana Runnels was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week – the third of the season for CSU.
• Colorado State holds a 10-1 record heading into MW action, with its lone loss to California in the season opening weekend.
• CSU has defeated three ranked opponents so far this season, including two sweeps, and all of which have fallen out of the Top-25.
• Alexa Roumeliotis was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week following the Rams' sweep of the Fight in the Fort.
• CSU holds a nine-match winning streak, with eight of their nine victories coming via sweeps.
• The Rams won their 15th regular season MW title in 2018 after a 23-8 overall record and 15-3 in league play.
• Senior setter, Katie Oleksak was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the second time.
• CSU claimed four of the seven preseason team positions, including Oleksak, Breana Runnels, Kirstie Hillyer and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen.
• The Rams reached the 20-win plateau a season ago for the 24th consecutive season.
• Last season the Rams finished in the Top-25 in the nation in aces per set, blocks per set and hitting percentage.
• The only loss CSU will saw from 2018 is in its ace and dig totals. The Rams returned 98.3% of their total offense.
