Preview: Rams head to Texas for pair of matches this weekend

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Rams are heading to Texas this weekend to face off with Southern Methodist in Dallas (Saturday, 10:30 a.m. MT) and UT Arlington in Arlington, Texas (Sunday, 10:a.m. MT). CSU has never played either team before.
CSU will play SMU to kick off the first multi-match weekend of the spring season on Saturday. The Mustangs are coming off of a victory over Abilene Christian, 6-1. There will be a live stats broadcast here. On Sunday, the Rams will battle UT Arlington, which is on a two-game winning streak and will play Rice on Saturday.
Colorado State sits at 0-2 after a loss to Colorado, but head coach Jarod Camerota is anticipating the Texas matches.
"We're looking forward to traveling to Texas," Camerota noted. "We're happy that we get go to senior Riley Reeves' hometown and see her family. Us coaches are looking for the team to truly enjoy the competition. We will have two very competitive matches and an opportunity to win. We just need everyone to believe that they can win and work relentlessly in their match to find the way to win."
While Reeves is currently not playing due to injury, she is excited to return home to cheer on her team.
"I grew up playing tennis tournaments at SMU and UTA, so it will be cool to show the team around my home town," Reeves said. "Because it's my last semester, this trip means a lot to me, and we're looking forward to picking up our first team wins of the season in Texas."
