THE WEEK
• Colorado State will head north for a pair of Border War battles this week. The Rams will face the Cowgirls on back-to-back nights starting Friday evening.
• Both matches will serve at 6 p.m., MT and will stream on the MW Network.
• Due to COVID-19, the Rams will often play the same opponent back-to-back at the same site.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• Wyoming started its season 4-0 with wins at Utah State and versus New Mexico.
• The Cowgirls suffered their first losses of the season last weekend after dropping both contests at Boise State.
• Wyoming sits fourth in the MW standings with a 4-2 mark.
• UW is close to the top in a few statistical categories, including second in opponent hitting (.154) and blocks (.290). The Cowgirls also are No. 4 in hitting with a .213.
• The Cowgirls were tabbed to finish third in the Mountain West Preseason Poll, including receiving a first place vote.
• Wyoming lost a handful of players from 2019, including two starters and its libero.

• Colorado State faced Wyoming twice in 2019, winning both to hold a three-match winning streak.
• The Rams' only losses in the series in the last two-plus decades have come in Laramie - three losses in the last 45 contests.

• Colorado State suffered a pair of losses in Moby Arena last week against UNLV - the first time losing three matches at home in Mountain West history.
• The Rams dropped to fifth in the conference standings with a 3-3 mark.
• CSU is fifth in hitting with a .213 mark and fourth in kills averaging 12.36 a set.
• After a big series with UNLV, the Rams are third in aces with 2.05 and opponent digs with 13.23.
• Sasha Colombo sits third in the league with a .385 hitting mark. Ciera Zimmerman is also second in the MW in assists with a 9.59 average.
• After a program record performance against UNLV, libero Alexa Roumeliotis leads the conference with 4.86 digs and is No. 55 in the nation.
• Colorado State ranks 19th in the nation in aces with an average 2.05 per set, led by Alexa Roumeliotis who is 57th in the country with .50.
• Head Coach Tom Hilbert secured his 300th Mountain West Conference victory in the first match at Nevada to be the only coach in the league to reach that milestone.
•Senior Breana Runnels was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the first time and named to the Preseason Team for the third time in her career.
• The Rams finished last season leading the nation in opponent hitting percentage, holding foes to a .111 mark. They also finished No. 4 in the country in average blocks with 2.94.
