THE WEEK
• Colorado State will begin its delayed 2020 season hosting the Air Force Falcons for two matches starting Friday evening in Moby Arena.
• The Rams will play the Falcons in the season and Mountain West opener on Friday, Feb. 5 with the first serve at 7 p.m. MT. The second match of the two-day series will serve on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. MT.
• Both matches will be broadcast on the MW Network.
• Due to COVID-19, the Rams will often play the same opponent back-to-back at the same site.
 
OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• Air Force was picked to finish eighth in the Mountain West Preseason Coaches' Poll, which matches its highest preseason ranking in six years.
• The Falcons finished the 2019 season with an 8-22 overall mark and 5-13 in the league play.
 
LAST SEASON
• Colorado State finished the 2019 campaign with a 29-2 overall record, winning its 21st Mountain West Title and making its 25th-consecutive NCAA Tournament.
• The Rams will look to replace five seniors that played significant roles in the past four seasons and a group that recorded a program record 28 wins during the season.
 
RAMS AT A GLANCE
• Colorado State enters the spring 2021 season tabbed as the favorite to win the Mountain West Conference for the seventh consecutive season.
• Senior Breana Runnels was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the first time and named to the Preseason Team for the third time in her career.
• CSU claimed three of the eight-preseason team positions, including Runnels, Ciera Zimmerman and Alexa Roumeliotis.
• The Rams secured its 25th consecutive NCAA Tournament bid in 2019 after winning its 21st Mountain West title (16th regular season) after a perfect 18-0 record in league play - the third time in program history with a perfect conference record.
• The Rams reached the 20-win plateau a season ago for the 25th consecutive season after posting a 29-2 overall record.
• Colorado State held a 28-match win streak last season, which was tied for the longest streak in the nation and set a program record, including 19 sweeps in that span.
• The Rams finished last season leading the nation in opponent hitting percentage, holding foes to a .111 mark. They also finished No. 4 in the country in average blocks with 2.94.
• CSU reached as high as No. 10 in the AVCA Poll and finished the 2019 season ranked No. 23. The Rams are receiving votes so far this spring.
