THE WEEK
• Colorado State will resume play after having its bye week and will head to San Jose, Calif., for a pair of matches at San Jose State.
• CSU will face the Spartans on back-to-back nights with both matches starting at 4 p.m., MT on the MW Network.
• Due to COVID-19, the Rams will often play the same opponent back-to-back at the same site.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• San Jose State enters the weekend with a 3-5 mark after starting the season with pair of loses against Boise State.
• The Spartans then split the series with Air Force to record their first win of the season.
• SJS dropped its matches at Fresno, but picked up two wins against Nevada last weekend.
• San Jose State sits in the top third of the Mountain West in opponent digs and opponent kills.
• The Spartans average 12.44 kills per set and 1.78 aces, both are fifth and fourth, respectfully, in the conference standings.

• Colorado State faced Wyoming twice in 2019, winning both to hold a three-match winning streak.
• The Rams' only losses in the series, which consistently started back in 1996, have come in San Jose, Calif., with the last two losses going the distance in Spartan Gym.

• Head Coach Tom Hilbert secured his 300th Mountain West Conference victory in the first match at Nevada to be the only coach in the league to reach that milestone.
•Senior Breana Runnels was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the first time and named to the Preseason Team for the third time in her career.
