Rams Add Transfer Buzkova for 2021-22 Season

She was C-USA Freshman of the Year and first-team all-conference at singles

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State women's tennis coach  Jarod Camerota has added a fifth transfer player to the 2021 recruiting class, as Radka Buzkova has signed with the Rams.
 
Buzkova, currently in her redshirt freshman year at Florida Atlantic, finished the season for the Owls at the No. 1 spot, where she posted a 2-1 record, going 13-7 at singles, 12-5 in doubles play, earning her Conference USA Freshman of the Year honors as well as first-team all-conference at singles.
 
She hails from Bohutin, Prague, where she also competed in track as a prep. She held a top-five national rating in her home country from the age of 12 on, climbing to as high as No. 2; she held a European ranking of No. 25 in U14 and played for the U16 Fed Cup team which placed fifth. She currently carries a universal tennis ranking of 9.6. She has three years of eligibility remaining.
 
The Rams have previously added Lucia Natal, Matea Mihaljevic, Somer Dalla-Bona and Sarka Richterova for the upcoming season.
 
Camerota said: "She's a really good player and a top player in junior tennis. I feel like she's a really good fit with the team, the coaches and Colorado State."
