Team now slated to play first Mountain West duals April 10-11 in Laramie
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State's women's tennis team will remain idle again this week, canceling road matches in Colorado Springs against New Mexico and Air Force by following Mountain West guidelines for COVID-19, the conference announced Tuesday.
Â
The Rams had one positive test a week ago, and the resulting contact tracing kept the team from fielding a qualifying lineup for league play. The Mountain West established a 14-day competition window via contact tracing, so Colorado State's roster remains as limited as last week. Some of the players have been cleared to practice following local health protocols.
Â
Through health and safety guidelines, as well as weather, the program has now had to cancel or postpone eight of 12 matches for the season.
Â
The next scheduled matches for the team would be April 10-11 in Laramie, Wyo., where the Rams will face Fresno State (Saturday, 1 p.m.) and Nevada (Sunday, 9 a.m.).
