Short Drive for the Rams on Friday and Saturday to Boulder
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – With an away meet and a home meet under its belt, the Colorado State track and field program is starting to get into a rhythm of normalcy and will continue its outdoor season this weekend at the CU Invitational on Potts Field.
Â
Last time out, the Rams enjoyed the confines of their own Jack Christiansen Track, hosting a handful of teams for the Doug Max Invitational. Two CSU records were placed on Saturday with Allam Bushara in the triple jump and Lauren Gale in the 400-meter race. Counting Eric Hamer's 10,000m mark at the Sound Running College Invite out in California on Friday, there were three Ram records captured in the weekend. In all, there were 28 personal records obtained including 14 that fell in CSU's top-20 lists.
Â
Friday's action in Boulder will be all field events, starting with the pole vault at 10 a.m. and ending with the discus at 2:30 p.m. The remaining field events and all the track action will be going on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. and going through 2:10 p.m. MT.
Â
Other schools competing will be Wyoming, Northern Colorado, School of Mines, Air Force and host Colorado.

Coaches' Corner
Head coach Brian Bedard
"It will be more of a complete team that we utilize this weekend. We are still experimenting with some of the individual events and relays, but we are getting more of a sample size now. This meet will start to solidify our travel party for our upcoming meets at Oklahoma and Kansas as we will not be bringing everybody. It's getting to that point in the season that we'll start looking at the conference performance lists with schools now having a few meets completed."
