Rams Hit the Road for Trio of Matches

Colorado State will begin the week at Northern Colorado on Tuesday, before heading to North Carolina.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Rams will travel away from Moby Arena for the first time this season, as they head to Northern Colorado for a match Tuesday night at 6 p.m., MT at the Bank of Colorado Arena. Colorado State will follow the mid-week match and jump on a plane to head to North Carolina for two matches. CSU will play at North Carolina on Friday night at 5 p.m., MT and then head to Raleigh for a 5 p.m., MT match with NC State on Saturday.
 
Colorado State will be on ESPN+ when facing the Bears on Tuesday and on the ACC Network while in North Carolina.
 
OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
- Northern Colorado started its season last weekend, hosting Northwestern and coming away with a 3-2 victory.
- The Bears were also supposed to host South Dakota, but the match was cancelled due to COVID-19 protocols.
- The five-set win against the Wildcats was the sixth win in program history over a Power 5 program.
- UNC finished the 2020 season with a 15-4 record – all conference matches – and appeared in the Big Sky championship match against Weber State

- NC State opened its 2021 season last week at the Tennessee Classic in Knoxville, dropping three matches
- The Wolfpack suffered sweeps against ETSU and host Tennessee, while battling to five sets with Texas Tech.
- NC State finished the ACC-only schedule in 2020 with an 8-9 mark and is voted to finish 10th in the league in the preseason coaches' poll.
- The Wolfpack will host Wofford and East Carolina before playing Colorado State on Saturday night.

- Colorado State began the 2021 season, suffering a 3-1 loss to Northwestern in its annual White Out match.

UP NEXT
Colorado State will return home following the road week, hosting three matches at Moby Arena. The Rams will welcome SIUE, Oregon State and UAB starting on Friday afternoon. CSU will don their Orange jerseys against the Beavers for its Orange Out, paying tribute to Colorado State's history of Colorado A&M Aggies. All three matches will be stream on the Mountain West Network.
