FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Somer Dalla-Bona used her one season with the Colorado State women's tennis team to help transform the trajectory of the program, and she also used her time on campus to excel in the classroom as the graduate student was recognized by CoSIDA on Thursday.

The native of Bokarina, Australia was named Academic All-District 7 after winning 20 singles matches and 22 in doubles while carrying a 3.96 GPA in earning her master's degree in tourism management. Her honor comes in the at-large category, which recognized student-athletes competing in 13 different sports across the eight districts. District 7 includes Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

Dalla-Bona was a key part of the program's most successful season in history, as the Rams won a record-tying 15 matches on the season and a record-setting eight victories in Mountain West play. She was 20-12 on the year in singles play, posing a 6-2 mark in the Mountain West, while winning 22 doubles matches, 19 with partner Sarka Richterova as they qualified for the ITA Fall Nationals. As a combo, they were 6-2 in conference play, manning the top position most of the season for Colorado State.

It is the second consecutive year the team has been recognized on the CoSIDA All-District at-large team, with Emily Luetschwager earning the distinction in 2021. Dalla-Bona becomes just the fourth CSU tennis player to be named All-District, with Hilary Tyler (2008) and Anne Anderson (2006) earning second-team recognition.
