A two-game swing gets the 2022-23 season underway at Colorado State.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. - With a two-game schedule for soccer in Utah set for Thursday and Sunday this week, the competition calendar is officially set to begin on 2022-23 at Colorado State!
In her second season, head coach Keeley Hagen and her Rams begin the regular season at Utah Tech (formerly Dixie State) on Thursday in St. George before heading to Salt Lake City on Sunday to take on the Utes of Utah. With 11 new Rams added to the roster between the 2021 and 2022 teams, Hagen's new-look Rams took advantage of an 1-0 exhibition victory over Northern Colorado on Friday to continue the bonding process.
The Rams are coming off a 6-8-3 (5-5-1 MW) season in Hagen's first campaign, which included a shortened training and recruiting calendar brought on by the move of soccer to the spring 2021 semester. Over that span, the Rams won a program-record five consecutive MW games and advanced to the MW Tournament in their first season under Hagen.Â
Entering the 2022 season, a number of Rams have the opportunity to advance their names up the record book, a growing list since the program's inception in 2013.
