Colorado State men’s basketball hosts Fresno State in a doubleheader Saturday

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State men's basketball returns home to host Fresno State Saturday at 2:30 pm inside Moby Arena. The game is a part of a doubleheader with the women's basketball team who hosts New Mexico at noon.
 
Fans are encouraged to attend both games, as women's basketball ticket holders may stay for the men's game, but will need to move to sections G, H, L or M rows 27 and higher. Men's basketball ticket holders may arrive early and watch the women's game but will need to sit in the sections mentioned before moving to their ticketed seats.
 
Parking Advisory
An advisory to fans attending the game tomorrow, Shields Street will be closed from Prospect to Elizabeth. Due to the closure take West Prospect to South Bryan Ave. From Bryan Ave take West Elizabeth straight which leads straight to the parking lot.
 
Opening Tip
- Colorado State hit a cold spell at the end of its game against Nevada falling 80-69 and being out-scored 21-5 in the final six minutes.
- Isaiah Stevens played in the 100th game of his career on Wednesday night finishing with a final line of 16 points, five rebounds and four assists.
- Stevens' first assist on Saturday will be the 500th of his career. He will be the second Ram to ever reach that feat joining Ryan Yoder.
- Patrick Cartier led CSU in scoring with 18 points on 7-of-9 shoot Wednesday night. He did a little of everything adding two assists, two rebounds and two steals.
- Cartier now qualifies for the NCAA rankings for field goal percentage and ranks 12th in the nation shooting 63.8% this season.
- Saturday's game is the first of two straight home games for CSU. They host Air Force on Tuesday.
- Eight of the nine Rams to see action in the game scored on Wednesday.
- Fresno State is coming off a big upset of New Mexico on Tuesday 71-67. 
- The Bulldogs want to slow the game down averaging just 61.4 points a game and giving up 61.9.
- Colorado State enters Saturday winning seven straight in the series against Fresno State. The Rams have not traveled to Fresno since February 2020 either.
 
Scouting the Bulldogs
Fresno State is coming off a big upset win over New Mexico on Tuesday 71-67 to hand the Lobos their first loss of the season. The win helped FSU improve to 2-1 in Mountain West play.
 
The Bulldogs like to slow the game down ranking 324th in the nation for adjusted tempo and it shows averaging just 61.4 points a game, but also only allowing 61.9 points.
 
FSU struggles to make it from deep shooting just 27.6% from 3-point land and only making 5.9 3s a game.
 
The duo of Isaih Moore and Jemarl Baker Jr lead the team with 11.9 and 11.8 points per game.

CSU will stay home to start next week hosting Air Force on Tuesday at 7 pm inside Moby Arena.
