GAME NOTES
- Colorado State hosts San Diego State and their matching 3-6 record this week as both teams aim to avoid being eliminated from bowl contention. For the Rams, they are still alive to reach a bowl for the first time since 2017.
- The Rams are riding a two-game losing streak in the series matchup and have lost 10 of the last 12 to the Aztecs dating back to 2005.
- The game will be played on Veteran's Day 2023, and Colorado State will begin the pre-game ceremonies with a fly-over as well as unfurling the one of the world's largest American flags - held by community volunteers - across the field.
- The Rams have played on Veteran's Day 22 times in program history, posting a 11-10-1 record. The last Veteran's Day game came against Boise State in 2017.
- Colorado State last won a conference championship 21 seasons ago this year. That 2002 team won the third title in four seasons under coach Sonny Lubick, a four-year run that included a combined record of 35-15. However, since then, the program has not been able to replicate that level of sustained success.
- The roster has undergone a radical transformation in just one full season under Norvell and his coaching staff. Of the 112 players currently on the roster, just 19 have been at Colorado State since 2021 or earlier. Of those 19, just 12 were scholarship signees. There are 56 overall newcomers on the 2023 roster including 45 new scholarship players.

- Tory Horton: Ranks No. 13 nationally in Receiving Yards per Game (94.2) and No. 3 in Receptions per game (8.6)
- Mohamed Kamara: No. 5 nationally in total sacks (10.5) and sacks per game (1.17) … Will move into a tie for 2nd in program history for a career with 0.5 more sacks … The career record stands at 33.0
- Dallin Holker: Leads all active tight ends nationally in Receptions per Game (5.7), receiving yards (653), receiving yards per game (72.6) and receptions (51) … No. 2 in yards after catch and receiving touchdowns (6)
- Jack Howell: Ranks No. 3 nationally in total tackles (88) among defensive backs and leads the Mountain West's defensive backs … No. 2 in total tackles in the MW overall … No. 18 nationally in tackles per game (9.88) … Has the chance to eclipse 100 tackles in consecutive seasons with three games remaining … Research on-going to find the last Colorado State defensive back to record 100+ tackles in consecutive seasons
- Team Offense: Currently the nation's sixth-most improved offense compared to 2022 (+105.1 ypg) … The passing offense is the second-most improved (+122.3 ypg) and scoring offense is No. 3 most-improved overall (+13.1 ppg) … They are also the most improved in sacks allowed (-3.48 fewer sacks) … Defensively, the Rams are No. 23 nationally in sacks per game (2.78) and No. 20 in turnovers gained (+17)
