Rams Complete Weekend Road Sweep

CSU tops South Dakota for third consecutive dual win
LINCOLN, Neb. – After continuous challenges this weekend, Colorado State's women's tennis team adapted and beat South Dakota 4-0 on Saturday to complete a weekend sweep.

"I'm very happy with the direction our team is headed," head coach Mai-Ly Tran said. "We keep improving on our focus and execution throughout our matches and that helped us get two big wins this weekend."

For the doubles play, Radka Buzkova and Emily Dush won 6-1 at the No. 1 spot against Paige Alter and Grace Chadick; at No. 3 Viktoryia Zhadzinskaya and Sarka Richterova defeated Anna Medvyedyeva and Selena Bird 6-2 to clinch the doubles point.

In singles, Zhadzinskaya won her first solo match in a dual for the Rams 6-4, 6-1, coming in the No. 5 spot. Dush swept 6-0, 6-4 at the No. 2 spot and at No. 3 Zara Lennon went 6-0, 6-3.

"They're enjoying the competition and beating these teams reassures us of what we're capable of this season," Tran said. "All the girls played well and I'm proud of each one of them -- on to the next one!"
