Off-night offensively hurts Rams
SAN JOSE, Calif. – A cold, rainy night in San Jose turned into a cold offensive night for Colorado State inside Provident Credit Union Event Center. The Rams shot 36.5% in a 63-46 loss to San Jose State. The shooting percentage was 13% below their season average.
The Rams trailed by two at the halfway point of the first half before going on a five-minute scoring drought allowing the lead to grow to nine. Colorado State closed the half by making two of their last 14 attempts. Turnovers were also an issue as they committed seven in the half.
CSU used an 8-2 run to cut their deficit to one with 12:57 left, but could never get over the hump to gain the lead.
Down four with 6:07 left, San Jose closed the game on a 15-2 run as the Rams went 1-for-11 from the field and committed two turnovers.
