Pemika Arphamongkol sits in the top 15 after first two rounds of FAU Paradise Invitational

BOCA RATON, Fla. – While temperatures have finally warmed up and there is still snow on the ground in Fort Collins, CSU women's golf escaped to the warmth of Florida to open their spring season on Monday. The Rams, led by Pemika Arphamongkol, sit in 11th at the FAU Paradise Invitational through 36 holes.

Arphamongkol is tied for 15th shooting an opening round 1-under, 71 in the morning and following it up with an even-par 72 this afternoon. The sophomore had a very even start to her spring season with nine straight pars to start it. Over the two rounds, she recorded 27 pars and six birdies.

Colorado State is one shot outside the top 10 with a 13-over 589 after Monday.

Sofia Torres was the only other Ram to shoot a round at or below-par on the day. She had an opening even-par 72 that included an eagle. Teeing off on the back nine, she made the turn at 1-over but went into the red with her eagle on the 490-yard par 5 first hole.

CSU will tee off the final round of the FAU Paradise Invitatiional with a shoutgun start at 6 am MT. Live results can be found on GolfStat.
