Rams Earn Top 10 Finish to Open Spring

Pemika Arphamongkol and Andrea Bergsdottir finish in the top 30

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Behind a pair of top 30 finishes from Pemika Arphamongkol and Andrea Bergsdottir CSU women's golf earned a top 10 team finish to open the 2023 spring season. The Rams shot their best round of the tournament with a 3-over, 291 Tuesday at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Florida. Colorado tied for 10th with UTSA.
 
Bergsdottir and Pemika's sister, Panchalika, led the charge for Colorado State Tuesday morning. Bergsdottir shot a 1-under, 71 cruising through her round unblemished until her final hole when she ended with a bogey. She finished tied for 28th in the tournament with a final score of 3-over, 219.
 
Pe. Arphamongkol finished a stroke ahead of Bergsdottir with a 2-over, 218 to tie for 22nd. She shot a 3-over, 75 in the final round.
 
Pa. Arphamongkol posted an even-par, 72 in her final round of the FAU Paradise Invitational. She opened her day with a birdie on the par 4, 315-yard 13th hole and reached as low as 2-under during her round. She ended up tied for 32nd in the tournament.
 
Colorado State tees it up again February 27-28 at the Gold Rush hosted by Long Beach State at Mission Viejo Country Club.
