Rams Head to Northern Iowa for First Round of WNIT

Colorado State makes its ninth WNIT appearance
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State will begin postseason action in the WNIT heading to Cedar Falls, Iowa to play Northern Iowa in the first round on Thursday night at 5:00 p.m., MT. The Rams will make their ninth appearance in the Women's National Invitational Tournament, including the fourth time in back-to-back seasons and sixth time for Head Coach Ryun Williams. Following a win, Colorado State will play the winner of Nebraska and Missouri State.

Colorado State entered the Mountain West Tournament as the No. 3 seed. The Rams defeated Boise State in the quarterfinals - their first victory against the Broncos in Tournament history. Colorado State had a rematch with Wyoming for Border War 3.0, suffering a 65-56 loss despite CSU holding a first quarter lead.

Colorado State will make its ninth appearance in the WNIT holding an even 8-8 mark. This will be Head Coach Ryun Williams' sixth appearance with Colorado State and seventh overall holding a 3-6 mark. This will also be The Rams' fourth time making back-to-back appearances.
Player of the Year
Senior McKenna Hofschild was named the Mountain West Player of the Year ahead of the Mountain West Tournament. She is the third player in program history to earn the honor and fourth for Colorado State.
All-Mountain West Teams
Colorado State earned three All-Mountain West awards, highlighted by McKenna Hofschild earning Player of the Year and Destiny Thurman voted Newcomer of the Year, Cailyn Crocker also earned honorable mention recognition.
