Three Rams Set School Records at Jack Christiansen Invitational

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State Track and Field team hosted its first of two track meets this season Saturday afternoon as the Jack Christiansen Invitational saw three school records being broken on the field events side of things.

Senior thrower Jackson Morris started things off with a monstrous mark in the men's javelin throw. Already owning the school record, Jackson reset his own record on his second to last throw before breaking it once more in his final throw. Morris' final mark of the day would be good for 74.27 meters, shattering his own school record by over five meters and ranking third in the nation.

The Rams then saw a pair of triple jumpers set school records in both the men's and women's competitions. Freshman Jo-Anna Pinnock slated herself into the number one spot in school history with a personal best mark of 12.95 meters.

Junior Allam Bushara reset his own record in the men's triple jump with a outdoor personal best mark of 15.67 meters. Bushara continues to own the school record in the triple jump for both indoor and outdoor seasons.

A group of Rams also competed at the Stanford Invitational this weekend with Annabel Stafford breaking the school record in the women's 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:58.14. Teammates Sarah Carter and Lily Tomasula-Martin also ran under the previous school record time, solidifying their spots as the number two and number three times in school history respectively.

The Rams will next compete in the Stanislaus State Multi taking place April 6 and 7 and the Tom Benish Invitational hosted by Northern Colorado April 8.
