Rams add home meet to schedule to maximize opportunities for athletes
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State track and field team is adding the Fum McGraw Power Meet to its outdoor schedule as the meet will take place Sunday, April 23 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Jack Christiansen Memorial Track.
Â
Originally scheduled to travel to Colorado School of Mines this weekend, the team will still compete in the altered Kit Mayer Invitational, but in a smaller capacity. Colorado School of Mines has altered the layout of the Kit Mayer Invitational into the Mines Mini Meet due to impending weather, changing the meet to a one day format, hosting only distance events, limited sprint events and limited field events.
Â
Colorado State distance runners will compete at Colorado School of Mines in a one day distance medley meet taking place Friday morning at 9 a.m. All other event groups will look forward to competeing on thier home track for the second time this season.
Â
To maximize opportunities for all athletes and event groups, the Colorado State track and field team has added a home meet to its outdoor schedule that will be labeled as a 'power meet', meaning the meet will only contain field events and track events under 800-meters.
Â
Events will begin at 9 a.m. with the men's hammer throw. Fans can find the whole schedule for the meet at CSURams.com.
