What You Need to Know
- The Rams have maintained their first-place spot in the Mountain West going into the final week of conference play despite dropping two games last week.
- Colorado State will wait to see the results of the Tuesday Night Block Party matchup this week featuring San Jose State and Fresno State to determine the scenarios in which they could still clinch a regular-season championship.
- Saturday's game will serve as Senior Day as the Rams honor graduating seniors Emery Herman, Naeemah Weathers, Kennedy Stanford, Kate Yoshimoto, and Karina Leber. Fans are encouraged to wear green in a senior day green out.
- Colorado State defeated Nevada in four sets and Utah State in five during week one of conference play.Â
Scouting the Wolf Pack and AggiesÂ
- Nevada takes on Colorado State after splitting week eight with a win over San Diego State in four sets and falling to UNLV in four during week seven, leaving the Bulldogs currently 10th in the Mountain West.
- The Wolf Pack have looked to junior outside hitter Gabby McLaughlin and senior outside hitter Clarissa Chainey to lead their offense to success. McLaughlin currently leads the Wolf Pack in kills during conference play with 421, good for third in the Mountain West while Chainey has 259 kills in conference play. McLaughlin and Chainey have seen success on offense, largely due to sophomore setter Maeva Tehya who is currently ranked sixth in the Mountain West with 443 assists and an average of 7.38 per set. As a team, the Wolf Pack is ranked fifth for both assists and kills and that has been a main contributor to the wins they have produced this season.
- Utah State travels to Fort Collins this week after defeating UNLV in five and San Diego State in four during week eight, leaving them fourth in the Mountain West with an 11-5 conference record.
- The Aggies had two players named for the Mountain West this past week with outside hitter Kaylie Ray named the Offensive Player of the Week and setter Kaylie Kofe named the Freshman of the Week. Beyond that, the Aggies have utilized many contributors for the success of their season, specifically with their offense as they lead the Mountain West in kills as a team with none of their players within the top 10 in individual statistics. This shows that they have many players across their roster that contribute offensively with six of their players surpassing 100 kills during the season. Freshman setter Kaylie Kofe is a big contributor to this success with 823 assists on the season. Also second in the Mountain West is junior middle blocker Tierney Barlow, who follows Naeemah Weathers with a hitting percentage of .430. The strengths throughout the Aggies roster have played a large part in the success of the team as a whole.Â

- Malaya Jones broke her season-high for total blocks in a match with six during Saturday's game against San Jose State. Herman continues to lead the Mountain West in assists, recording 602 during conference and averaging 11.17 per set. She is also ranked 25 in the NCAA for assists per set, the highest she has been ranked this season.
- Naeemah Weathers continues to lead the Mountain West and is ranked seventh in the NCAA in hitting percentage with 166 kills in 294 attempts for a percentage of .442.

- Kennedy Stanford also broke season-highs in Saturday's match, reaching 16.5 points and three service aces against the Spartans. She didn't stop there, breaking double-digits with a total of 12 kills, the second-highest for the Rams during the match.Â
- The team leads the Mountain West in hitting percentage and is within the top two for assists and kills going into the final week of conference play.
