Soccer opens Mountain West Championship Play Sunday

Rams take on Wolf Pack in opening round
SAN DIEGO, Calif, - As the regular season comes to an end, Mountain West Championship play begins. Colorado State enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed will take on the No.6 seed Nevada Wolf Pack Sunday evening at 5 p.m. for a fight to stay in championship play.Â
The 2024 Credit Union 1 Mountain West Women's Soccer Championship consists of six-teams competing for the title beginning Sunday, November 3 and concludes Saturday, November 9 with games on Sunday, Wednesday, and the championship match on Saturday. All matches will be on the Mountain West Network.Â
The Rams ended 7-1-3 in conference play and 11-4-4 overall, finishing tied for second in the Mountain West Standings as they enter today's match as the no.3 seed.Â
A Colorado State win will move them onto the semifinals to play their 2023 Mountain West Championship final opponent, Utah State on Nov. 6.
Nevada:Â
- Nevada ended sixth in the Mountain West standings.Â
- The Wolfpack ended 6-12-2 overall and 4-5-2 in conference.Â
- Colorado State posted a 1-0 win over Nevada in the regular season.Â

- Mia Casey has recorded seven assists this season, bringing her career total to eight which ties her for second in program history, while her 28 career points bring her to fourth all time. Casey ranks second in a single-season for assists, just one behind Gracie Armstrong's total in 2019.Â
