Friday, November 15 football games lead to changes on campus

FORT COLLINS – One of the oldest rivalries in the West, the Border War game, returns to Fort Collins and Colorado State University's Canvas Stadium on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m. The key Mountain West game will impact operations on CSU's campus that day.

RV overnight parking is available in the Moby Arena Parking Lot (195). Advanced registration is required.  Click here to register for RV overnight parking on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

Ram Town Tailgate and football game parking lots will open at their customary four hours prior to kickoff (2 p.m.) on Friday, November 15. As always, parking passes are required and can be purchased at CSURams.com/Tickets.

The Friday night game means student repark will take place on Thursday, November 14 from 4 p.m to midnight, and students should relocate to lots 115, 145, 170, 180, 220, 470 or 473.

In addition, due to select campus parking lot closures that will be implemented Friday, November 15, beginning at 7 a.m. the campus community is encouraged to use the Moby Lot (195), Lake Street Garage (570) and the South College Garage (577) until noon if parking on campus is needed. The academic and research missions of CSU remain paramount. Colorado State University has planned options for how classes and research can be conducted on the afternoon of Nov. 15. Instructors can consider modifications to in-person gatherings including remote instruction, and alternative assignments or projects.

A part of the Border War game and Bronze Boot tradition is the running of the game ball by the school's ROTC cadets the day before the game. A ceremony will take place at the Colorado/Wyoming border at noon to pass the ball from one school's unit to the other. The CSU ROTC cadets will run the ball the rest of the way to Fort Collins, including through Old Town at about 6 p.m. before running the game ball to campus.

A limited number of tickets to the game are still available and can be purchased by visiting CSURams.com/Tickets or calling 800-491-RAMS (7267).
