Rams Shine on Day Two of Colorado Invitational

Colorado State finds success in sending a full roster to Boulder
BOULDER, Colo. – The Colorado State track and field team finished out the Colorado Invitational in Boulder Saturday with a large roster leaving with experience ahead of the Mountain West Championships which will take place February 22-24.

Cole Nordman claimed his spot on the podium once again on the second day of the Colorado Invitational. Nordman finished first in the men's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 7.86 seconds. He also competed in the 200-meter dash and placed third with a time of 21.59 seconds, just behind teammate Tyler Colwell.Â

Colwell had two top-three appearances. He placed first in the men's 60-meter with 6.72 seconds and second in the 200-meter dash with 21.41 seconds. Colwell is the current school record holder for the men's 60-meters and ranks fourth all time at CSU in the 200-meter.

Other notable Rams from this weekend's competition include Tom Willems who placed first in the men's 400-meter dash with a time of 46.50 seconds. Willems helped teammates Carsen Bruns, Kenny Carpenter and Jack Cauble acquire second place in the 4x400 Relay as well.

Tereza Babicka competed in both days of the Colorado Invitational, securing a second-place finish in the women's long jump on day one and a first-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles on day two with a time of 8.66 seconds.Â
