Rams to Split Weekend at Home and Stanford

Colorado State will host its first home meet of the outdoor season
FORT COLLINS - The Colorado State track and field team will kick off its second weekend of the outdoor season hosting the Jack Christiansen Invitational in Fort Collins while also sending its distance team to compete at the Stanford Invitational.

- The Jack Christiansen Invitational is hosted by Colorado State at the Jack Christiansen Memorial Track and will take place Friday and Saturday. This meet also hosts high school track teams who will compete both days as well.
- Friday's field events will start at 12 p.m. with the men's hammer throw, followed by the women's. The hammer throw will be the only collegiate event to take place Friday.
- Saturday's events will start at 9:55 a.m. with the girls 800m medley relay. Shot put for the women and men will start at 10.Â
- All events and times are subject to change. Ram fans can stay up to date with the tentative schedule here.
- The Stanford Invitational is hosted by Stanford University and will take place Friday and Saturday as well. Rams traveling to the Stanford Invitational will make up of mostly distance and middle distance athletes.

- Last week at the Trojan Invitational hosted by Southern California, senior thrower Michaela Hawkins recorded the second-best women's discus throw in school history with a mark of 61.02 meters. She also finished second in the women's hammer throw with 53.30 meters. She was named the Mountain West Female Field Athlete of the Week thanks to her success.
- Neya Jamison now sits at No.17 in the Colorado State record book for the women's 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.29.
- Now sitting at No.7 in the record book for men's shot put is Kyle Bigley with his performance of 18.00 meters.
- In the men's pole vault, Eldridge Harris took first with 4.70 meters followed by Willa Chiang with 4.55 meters and Mason Adams with 4.40 meters.
