Rams Heating Up After Day Two in California

Colorado State finished day two of Bryan Clay Invite and day one of Long Beach Invitational
LONG BEACH, Calif. – Colorado State's men's and women's track and field team tackled the second day of the Bryan Clay Invite and the first day of the Long Beach Invite.Â

The Rams distance runners competed in the Bryan Clay Invite with Chris Henry leading the men's team in the 5000 run. Henry placed sixth with a time of 14:06.46. while also achieving a personal best, shaving 12 seconds off his previous time. He was followed by teammate Michael Mooney in 19th (14:14.45).

Tom Oates took 25th in the third heat with a time of 14:27.67. Lars Mitchel placed 21st in the fourth heat with 14:07.20, he was followed by Mason Brown in 27th (14:23.99).

Benny Randall placed seventh overall in the men's 10000 run with a time of 29:44.13. Â

At the Long Beach Invite with a mark of 4.86 meters in the men's pole vault, Will Chiang currently sits first in a six-way tie. Teammate Mason Adams currently ranks 11th in a five-way tie with a height of 4.56 meters. Remaining flights of the men's pole vault will take place tomorrow where junior Eldrige Harris will enter the competition for the Rams.

Also at the Long Beach Invite, Kajsa Borrman finished 11th in the women's hammer throw with a distance of 58.75 meters. Klaire Kovatch placed 29th with 52.56 meters and 38.02 meters in the javelin throw, both her best marks so far this season.

Hari Brogan, Ryan Blake, Timothy Johnson and Rhys Travis are all set to compete in the men's high jump tomorrow at 10 a.m. the Long Beach Invite. Also at 10 a.m., Taye Holker and Jo-Anna Pinnock will be competing in the women's long jump. Pinnock will also participate in triple jump which is set to start at 2:30 p.m. On the men's side, Allam Bushara and Ismael Dembele look to compete. As for the women's pole vault, Maria Kimpson and Celyn Stermer will start at 10:30 a.m.
