Big third set rally helps CSU sweep Lobos
ALBUQUERQUE, NM – Colorado State hit the road to continue Mountain West play on Thursday night, sweeping New Mexico, 25-23, 25-16, 25-20. The win improved CSU to 8-5 overall and 2-1 in conference play.

How It Happened
Neither team separated from the other in the first set, playing within a four-point margin throughout. The set featured 11 times and four lead changes before Colorado State took it 25-23. The Rams outhit the Lobos in the set .364 to .312.

CSU took a 2-0 lead in the match as the attack continued to hum along, hitting .353 and adding in a trio of aces. The key stretch in the set came with Halle Jameson toeing the service line as CSU went on a 7-0 run to go up 19-13. Halle had two of the team's three aces during the set during the run. The final ace came from Maria Brun on set point to go alongside her four kills during it.

Down 17-13 in the third set, the Brenna Rowland and Eve Wilson show took over for the Rams. CSU proceeded to go on a 6-0 run thanks to the duo to take control of the set. The duo contributed five of the team's six points during the run with three kills and two combo blocks. That run was all the Rams needed to complete the sweep.
