Rams picked to finish third as preseason poll and honors announced
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State's Hannah Ronsiek was selected to the 2025-26 Preseason All-Mountain West Team, while the Rams were picked to finish third in the league's preseason poll ahead of Thursday's Old Trapper MW Basketball Media Day.
Â
Ronsiek made a major impact on both sides of the floor last season on her way to earning an All-MW Defensive team selection – the first postseason honor of her career. The fourth-year Ram is the epitome of a modern three-and-D player, becoming the first Ram ever to record 50 made 3-pointers, 40 steals and 25 blocks last season. The Sioux Falls, S.D., native is the leading returning scorer from last year's CSU team (9.1 ppg) and led last year's squad in steals (44) and blocks (27).
Â
The Rams as a unit were picked to finish third in the league's preseason media poll, just below four-time defending regular season champions UNLV and reigning conference tournament champions San Diego State. Colorado State finished third in the regular season last year behind a 13-5 league record. The Rams have been picked to finish third for the second year in a row and have appeared in the preseason poll's top three in each of the last four editions.
Â
The return of basketball is just a few short days away as Colorado State is set to host an exhibition against Colorado Christian on Oct. 29. Admission to the exhibition will be free and offers Ram Country the opportunity to get a preview of this year's squad.
Â
Season tickets for the 2025-26 season are on sale now. Fans can purchase their seat for all 16 Ram home games for as little as $72 by visiting CSURams.com/WBBTickets. Mini plans for the opening week of Moby Madness are also on sale, allowing fans to celebrate the return of basketball season with tickets to both the men's game against Incarnate Word on Nov. 3, and the women's on Nov. 4. Single game tickets and additional mini plans will go on sale soon.
