Bargesser Named MW Player of the Week

Guard led Rams to wins over Oregon State, San Diego
FORT COLLINS – Colorado State's Lexus Bargesser has been named the Old Trapper Mountain West Women's Basketball Player of the Week after leading toe Rams to wins over Oregon State and San Diego.

Bargesser averaged 17.5 points per game on 52.0% shooting from the field, while also adding 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per contest in back-to-back well-rounded performances. The guard led CSU in scoring in both outings.

To open the week against San Diego, the Grass Lakes, Mich., native dropped 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting, adding two steals to the mix as the Rams took down the Toreros, 71-44 in Moby Arena. Bargesser was a catalyst in Colorado State's comeback road win against Oregon State as she posted 17 points – 10 of which came in the second half – and six rebounds in the 64-58 triumph.

Bargesser has been one of the top players in the MW through the early stages of the season, leading the league in scoring at a 17.2 point-per-game clip. The Indiana transfer also leads the league in shooting percentage (54.5%) and ranks 40th nationally in field goals made (36).
